Board
The SNH Board is appointed by the Ministers of the Scottish Government to:
- Determine the objectives, strategies and policies of SNH, in light of its statutory obligations and guidance from the Scottish Government.
- Provide the direction to SNH staff for implementation.
Supporting the Board are Local Advisers, a Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), a Protected Areas Committee (PAC), a transitional Deer Panel and an Audit & Risk Management Committee (ARMC). Local Advisers and Members of these Committees are appointed by the SNH Board.
The Open Session part of the meetings of the SNH Board, the SAC and the PAC are open to the public to attend as observers.
