Role of the Transitional Deer Panel

The role of the transitional Deer Panel is to provide:-

• Advice to the SNH Board, Committee Members, Management Team and senior staff on strategic and key operational issues relating to the transfer of responsibilities arising from the merger of Deer Commission (Scotland) with SNH.
• Advise on issues such as deer welfare and public safety.
• Guidance relating to sustainable deer management.
