Director of Policy and Advice

Susan Davies

The Director of Policy and Advice is responsible for a team providing specialist technical and policy advice, in support of SNH's work and in advising Government.  She is the Programme Director for Biodiversity Action & The Sea, Wildlife Management and the Social & Economic Development Programmes.

Susan oversees the work of the following Units:

• People and Places
• Ecosystems & Biodiversity
• Rural Resources Management
• Coastal & Marine Ecosystems 
• Planning and Renewables
• Knowledge and Information Management

Susan's topic responsibilities include taking a strategic overview of: National Performance Indicator 41 for Participation, the Langholm Moor Demonstration Project,  Business Process Improvement and is the Reviewing Officer for FOI. She is the Lead Director  for the Joint Nature Conservation Committee, the Scientific Advisory Comittee and the Transitional Deer Panel.
