Annual reports and accounts

Each year we produce an Annual Report & Accounts which reports on our achievements and performance over the previous year. It provides the Scottish Government with a summary of our key areas of work and is available once ratified by the Government for viewing by the general public. The Report includes a summary by the Chief Executive on progress against our strategic priorities and outlines our performance against key targets and measures set by the Scottish Government.

The Annual Report also includes details about the organisation such as its structure and office locations, and who are its Management Team, Board Members and Local Advisers.

Accounts

A significant part of the Report consists of the organisation's Annual Accounts. These accounts are audited by Audit Scotland and are prepared in accordance with the Accounts Direction issued by Scottish Ministers under section 10(3) of the Natural Heritage (Scotland) Act 1991.

The Annual Accounts provide a breakdown on the organisation's income and expenditure. They list the organisation's Balance Sheet as at the end of the financial year as well as the Cash Flow Statement. They also declare the level of remuneration awarded to members of the SNH Board as well as the salaries of the SNH Management Team. The Annual Accounts form an integral part of the Annual Report and ensure that the organisation is fully compliant with Government's accounting procedures.
