Joint working
There are occasions where we work jointly with others to deliver a common goal. This partnership approach ensures that we are as efficient and effective as possible.
Our agreements with others can take many forms. We work to build positive, mutually beneficial relationships with many other bodies, listening to their needs and working in partnership with them. In some instances, we express our commitment to such partnerships more formally in order to ensure our work is jointly as efficient and effective as possible. These written agreements, or concordats, may go under different names and take varying forms but broadly speaking their purposes may include one or more of the following :
- Promote increased understanding and recognition of respective roles,
- Establish common interests and promote positive approaches,
- Identify new opportunities for joint working
- Develop effective working relations by clarifying and formalising working arrangements.
