SNH Initiatives

At the heart of SNH's approach lies the recognition that conservation must become a principle of all social and economic activity.

This is the philosophical stance which underlies the concept of sustainability. But equally, the needs and aspirations of people must become a part of the conservation agenda - what has been called sustainable conservation.

The initiatives listed below detail several projects which SNH is currently involved in around Scotland - with a view to furthering our enjoyment of our natural heritage, whilst ensuring its sustainable conservation.
