Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park joins the Explore family

Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority and Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) have joined forces to encourage visitors to explore the Park's finest natural and cultural attractions. The new 'Explore for a day' leaflet  PDF document   highlights 25 of the most exhilarating, interesting, and unique 'to-dos' in the Park. This new title brings the number of areas covered by the 'Explore for a day' series up to 14. All leaflets are available for download from this website or in hard copy from local tourist information centres and other tourism outlets.

Public Transport timetables covering Caithness & Sutherland

Leave the car behind and discover the North Highlands using bus and train services. Melness and Tongue Community Development Trust have for the first time published the local bus and train timetables covering the whole of the North Highlands.

The following timetables are available for download:

  • East Coast Timetable  PDF document : Inverness - Thurso/Wick (including routes to Lairg and Tongue)
  • North Coast Timetable  PDF document : Durness to Thurso
  • West Coast Timetable  PDF document : Inverness to the North West (Ullapool-Lochinver-Kinlochbervie-Durness-Tongue, including services via Strathpeffer and via Lairg)
