A wide range of fun and inspiring outdoor events and activities take place each year throughout Scotland. These can be a great way of finding out about places and things to do, and for meeting other people.

We hold lots of exciting events and organised walks on many of our National Nature Reserves.

National events
Then there are a number of national events. There's the Royal Highland Show
in June each year as well as a huge range of local shows close to where you live keep an eye on your local paper for more information.
If you want an active holiday, there are many access festivals around Scotland. These provide organised walks in groups and can be a great way of discovering a new area or building up your confidence to venture further afield.
There'll be a lot of events celebrating our fantastic wildlife as part of the International Year of Biodiversity in 2010.
