What are Geo-Trails

Did you know that Scotland's wonderful scenery tells an amazing story about the origins and history of the earth and life on earth? There are a number of walking guides that help people explore some of the highlights of Scotland's amazing geological story. They are written around popular footpaths, and have been produced by local groups of experts to reveal the geological stories of the surrounding landscape.

There are many walking Geo-Trails throughout Scotland. Lochaber Geopark has also produced car-based trail guides.
