There will be some fantastic nature events in Scotland's National Nature Reserves and National Parks and celebrating the anniversary of his birth during the whole year. Don't miss the celebrations in our National Nature Reserves - from a fascinating tour of Kilmartin Glen in Argyll to a John Muir's Birthday time capsule in St Cyrus or theatre performances on the Ice Age shaped 'Vat' Trail at Muir of Dinnet in Aberdeenshire. In Pitlochry, visit the John Muir Trust's "Wild Space " interactive gallery, which showcases Scotland's wild places through his words using films, art pieces, audio and the work of top photographers. In East Lothian, John Muir's Birthplace will host events in Dunbar including community events and guided walks around the landmarks of Muir's childhood, and an exhibition entitled "My Boyhood and Youth", marking the Centenary of Muir's book "The Story of My Boyhood & Youth".
