How to apply for LIFE+ funding

• Applications for 2012 are now open
• Next submission deadline for completed applications is 26th September 2012

If you are planning to submit an application for 2012, you should  have completed and submitted the following forms to Scottish Natural Heritage LIFE@snh.gov.uk by 24th February 2012.  If you have not then please contact Scottish Natural Heritage ASAP.

• LIFE Concept Note  (in pdf format  ) if your project is led in Scotland.
• Scottish Sites Notification  (in pdf format  ) if your project is led from outside Scotland but includes Scottish sites.
• If you are seeking any financial support from Scottish Natural Heritage for your project then further information may be requested.

Please read all relevant guidance material on the European Commission website  before completing any forms.

A8 Procedure

Proposals under the 'Life Nature & Biodiversity' and 'LIFE Communication forest fire prevention' project strands require you to consider the inclusion of an A8 form with supporting comments from the relevant National Authority. In the UK this action is devolved. Therefore, please would you ensure that all requests for an A8 are sent by e-mail to ECLIFE@scotland.gsi.gov.uk.

All requests must be received by Friday 29 June 2012. The National Authority will endeavour to return A8s to you by the first week of September to meet the final submission deadline to the UK Contact Point.

You are not expected to send fully worked-up proposals but sufficient information for National Authorities (NA) to be able to come to a considered opinion; as a minimum, you should send draft B1 and B2, or equivalent information. EProposal should allow you to download a pdf copy - you may wish to send this.
