SRDP and SNH grants

The Scottish Rural Development Programme (SRDP) is now the main source of Government funding for rural land management, including management to benefit nature and landscapes and people's enjoyment of these assets.

If your project is eligible for funding from the Scottish Rural Development Programme you should directly apply for funding from this source.  The new Agri-Environment Climate Scheme (AECS)  and Forestry Grant Scheme (FCS)  are due to open for application in March 2015.

We continue to offer grant support for projects not covered by SRDP.  We will also consider match funding LEADER external site  projects.  A decision to fund these projects will be based on the availability of funding and how well the project matches our priorities.

If you require further information or clarification upon whether your project should seek funding from SRDP please contact your local Scottish Natural Heritage office who can advise.
