Paths policy - Linking people, places and nature
Our vision for paths is that they will be:
- better promoted and used by everyone more regularly, particularly by new users;
- that local paths will be in the right place, in good condition and attractive to all users;
- that a more coherent network of long distance routes will be available to more people:
- that improvements to upland paths will protect our finest mountain landscapes and provide sustainable access;
- and that there will be appropriate and targeted funding for the above.
