Rocks and landforms
Scotland's rocks and landforms are part of our world class 'geodiversity'. They underpin our natural ecosystems, provide us with essential raw materials, influence our cultural and built heritage, and reveal important information helping us to deal with, flooding, landslide and climate change. Our rocks and landforms range from mineral resources to our active river landforms and coastal landforms. Managing these natural assets to safeguard them for the future is an important part of conserving our natural heritage.
