JNCC Position Statements

The Joint Nature Conservation Committee presents a common voice for all the UK's nature conservation agencies -

• Countryside Council for Wales
• Council for Nature Conservation and the Countryside (Northern Ireland).

JNCC Position Statements  represent the common views of the constituent agencies on matters of UK importance. Position Statements are available on -

Land Use Policy Group

The Land Use Policy Group (LUPG) comprises representatives from UK statutory conservation, countryside and environment agencies -

• Natural England
• Countryside Council for Wales
• Scottish Natural Heritage
• Environment Agency
• Scottish Environmental Protection Agency
• Northern Ireland Environment Agency
• Joint Nature Conservation Committee

LUPG provides independent advice on land management issues to the UK Government, devolved administrations, and other institutions including the European Commission and European Parliament. Its vision and position statements are formally approved by the constituent agencies.

LUPG has published (March 2009) a vision for the future of the CAP post 2013: Securing our common future through environmentally sustainable land management
