PlaceBook Scotland
Since November 2008 the PlaceBook Scotland
website has been encouraging people to tell us, and each other, about the places in Scotland that are important to them.
Over a thousand members have uploaded photographs, short films, music, poetry and prose which capture the sense of these places, be they iconic landscapes of Scotland or everyday, local surroundings.
You can add your thoughts and ideas on the places other people mention on the website, and discuss what makes a landscape distinct or special.
Submissions are varied and personal, giving a real sense of what people think about their landscapes.
The project was started by the Scottish Landscape Forum with the support of the National Trust for Scotland
, Scottish Natural Heritage and the Scottish Government.
