Educators

Protected species can make excellent topics for educating people about nature conservation and wider issues such as climate change.  However, it is important to remember the law protecting these species.  Possession of certain species or their parts whether or not the species is found naturally in Scotland, may be an offence.  You may also cause disturbance to some animals if you do not follow appropriate codes of practice when you are watching them.

Scottish Natural Heritage can issue licences for educational reasons. However, you will need to approach Scottish Government if you require a licence for taxidermy purposes.
