Habitat Action Framework

Action for Scotland's Habitats

The Habitat Action Framework for Scotland being developed by SNH is an initiative to prioritise management action for UK Biodiversity Action Plan habitats in Scotland. The draft framework will focus on a number of Scottish habitat types which are priority for management action and are drawn from the full range of the UKBAP priority habitats.

The habitat framework, along with the Species Action Framework, is intended to be an integral part of the delivery of the Scottish Biodiversity Strategy. external site Its role will be to help focus resources and effort onto those priority habitats most in need of management action as part of the planning and delivery role of the 5 Ecosystem Groups  external site that currently operate within the Scottish Biodiversity Forum external site .

Keep an eye on this page for further information as the framework develops.
