Working with others in Scotland
Biodiversity is the ' meat and bones' of Scottish Natural Heritage's work, influencing all areas of our work.
Our biodiversity agenda overlaps with that of the Scottish Biodiversity Forum
, which we support as a leading member. The structure for planning, delivering and reporting biodiversity work in Scotland combines devolved UKBAP
targets with the ecosystem based approach of the Scottish biodiversity structure. We deliver actions for UKBAP priority habitats, UKBAP priority species and other species and habitats which have been placed on the Scottish Biodiversity List
. Scottish Natural Heritage plays a significant role in the seven working groups within the structure as well as chairing its Action Coordination Group, and sitting on the high level Scottish Biodiversity Committee. The following link takes you to the detailed terms of reference for the Scottish biodiversity structure
and you can find out about the Forum and its working groups in more detail on its website Biodiversity Scotland
