Statutory returns
All owners and occupiers who are requested to do so by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) must provide information on the numbers of deer shot by them each year.
SNH require that the number and sex of each species of deer culled between 1st April and 31st March each year are returned for each individual landholding. In April each year SNH will send a letter requesting these details along with a form to complete. You are required to return the completed form within 36 days.
If you cull deer in Scotland and have not previously received a letter requesting this information you should inform SNH using the contact details below.
Further advice and guidance is available from James Scott on 01463 725363.
Please send completed returns to wildlifeops@snh.gov.uk
