The protocols being followed by Scottish Natural Heritage follow the Code of Practice for Official Statistics, which are available from the UK Statistics Authority .

Scottish Natural Heritage was specified as a provider of Official Statistics under the Official Statistics (Scotland) Amendment Order 2010 .
