2010 International Year of Biodiversity
Biodiversity is the variety of life on Earth - the plants, animals, soils, water and other living things. These provide us all with food, clean water, fuel and other vital services that our health and wealth depend on.
2010 is International Year of Biodiversity and provides a great opportunity to make a real difference to biodiversity in Scotland and elsewhere on Earth.
We want to use 2010 to connect people with nature. We want to celebrate the wonderful biodiversity we have in Scotland and explain why it's important to all of us.
Everyone in Scotland can help by doing one thing to support biodiversity in 2010 and telling someone about it.
- Biodiversity communications
- Buy seasonal
- Experience nature on your doorstep
- Garden for life
- Help with a wildlife survey
- Tell someone about it!
- Get others involved
